Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord , and said: “O Lord God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
Notice King Hezekiah did not give over to fear, he didn’t go talk to a friend. Instead he went directly to God. King Hezekiah knew that only God has the power to control the outcome. He trusted God.
Bringing the threatening letter before the Lord was a physical act. It was symbolic of putting the situation in Gods hands. Let us also take the things that cause fear in us, tempts us, or comes against us before the Lord.
No mountain that I face is bigger than the God I serve. The enemy of my soul would love to get me off of my path. I will not be moved. If faith can move a mountain then let this mountain move. Amen
